Three Science Park teams reach the finals of the Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award 2025

We are proud to announce that three teams from Amsterdam Science Park have reached the finals of the prestigious Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award (AMSIA) 2025. This achievement once again highlights the innovative excellence of the researchers based at our park.

The finalists are:

  • AIdapt (Category: Society): Siddharth Mehrotra (IvI) and Eleni Georganta are developing an AI-powered training platform that bridges the gap between humans and technology. AIdapt allows teams to safely practice collaboration with AI teammates.
  • BOR-LYTE (Category: Environment & Climate): Florenz Buß, Valentin Geiger, Bas de Jong, and Chris Slootweg (all from HIMS) are creating sustainable battery electrolytes to enable greener, more efficient large-scale energy storage.
  • Polycotton Textile Recycling (Category: Environment & Climate): Nienke Leenders (HIMS) is making significant strides in recycling blended cotton-polyester textiles—an important step toward a circular textile industry.

The final will take place on June 17, 2025, with a grand prize of €10,000. For more information, visit the IXA website.
