Who’s in Town @200: Karen Maex

08 May 2017, 17:45 to 20:30
Common Room, Amsterdam University College, Science Park 113

In honour of the 200th edition of AUC's 'Who's in Town' seminar series, Prof. Dr. Karen Maex, Rector Magnificus of the University of Amsterdam, will deliver a celebratory lecture titled Why science and society should go hand in hand.

Since 2010, members of the AUC community have been organising small-scale seminars by inviting prominent and interesting guest speakers to hold lectures, debates or presentations at the AUC campus in Amsterdam.

To mark the occasion of the 200th ‘Who’s in Town’, AUC invites members of the community to join for an inspiring evening, which will feature Prof. Dr. Maex’s lecture addressing the evolution of scientific knowledge and how it impacts contemporary society. The evening will conclude with reactions from an expert panel, questions from the audience and a small reception.
