Junne held the chair of International Relations at the University of Amsterdam (Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences) for three decades. He published several books on the introduction of new technologies and their international ramifications.
During this two-hour seminar, Prof. Junne will discuss the ambiguous impact of the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East on the prospects of green hydrogen and how the energy transition triggers a broader paradigm change in our economies. This seminar will also cover the reasons behind fluctuating interest in hydrogen, how hydrogen relates to energy intensive processes and heavy industry, how multinational companies look at hydrogen, and how much room there is for decentral production of hydrogen
